MEET THE DOCTOR

Experience matters. So does trust.

To me, surgery is not only about performing a procedure. It is about understanding each patient's needs and helping them make informed decisions.

An important lesson from my training continues to guide my practice: always seek the most appropriate treatment for each person. My approach combines individualized evaluation, teamwork, and evidence-based medical decisions.

My commitment is to help you understand your options before choosing a treatment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The cost depends on the type and size of the hernia, the technique (open or laparoscopic), whether mesh is used, the hospital, and the tests you need. That's why we don't list a single price: after your consultation you receive a personalized quote that details what it includes.

Surgery is usually considered when gallstones cause symptoms — such as pain in the upper right abdomen or below the breastbone after meals, sometimes spreading to the back, often with nausea — or when they lead to complications like inflammation. The diagnosis is confirmed with tests, usually an ultrasound, and a medical evaluation. Not everyone with gallstones needs surgery.

A gastric sleeve reduces the size of the stomach. A gastric bypass creates a small stomach pouch and also reroutes part of the small intestine. Each has different indications, benefits and risks; the right choice depends on your medical history, conditions such as diabetes or reflux, and your goals, and is made through an individual evaluation. The bariatric procedure performed at this practice is the gastric sleeve; if a bypass would be a better fit for you, we'll explain why and guide you.

It varies by procedure and by person. Many laparoscopic operations allow you to walk the same day and offer a more comfortable recovery than open surgery, but when you can return to work, lift or exercise is something your surgeon will advise based on your case.

According to international guidelines (ASMBS and IFSO, 2022), surgery may be considered for adults with a body mass index of 35 or higher, or 30 to 34.9 with metabolic disease such as type 2 diabetes. Beyond BMI, your medical history, habits and ability to follow up are also assessed. Eligibility is determined through an individual evaluation.

Yes. If you already have a diagnosis or surgery has been recommended, you can bring your records and test results so we can review them and discuss your options before you decide.
